How to play cootie catcher game
- Find a friend to play with and ask them to choose a picture from the top flaps.
- Open and close the cootie catcher as you spell out the name of the picture your friend chose.
- When you’re done spelling, keep the cootie catcher open and have your friend choose a number.
- Open and close the cootie catcher the number of times your friend just picked.
- When done counting, ask your friend to choose one more number and open the flap to the corresponding number.
- Open the flap and read the hidden message.

Supplies Needed:
- Cootie Catcher Printable
- Scissors
- Markers
Instructions:
- Download and print the cootie catcher printable
- Cut out the square template
- Fold the square from top to bottom on the middle line, with the picture face down and then unfold
- Next fold the paper in the middle from left to right and unfold
- With the square face down, fold each corner towards the middle so the point is touching the middle of the square
- Keeping the paper folded, flip the square over and fold each corner to the center of the square
- Fold the square in half, top to bottom and crease firmly and keep folded
- Write on your cootie catcher
- Write a number on the top flap
- Open each flap and write a hidden message, joke or kind note
- On the outside flap write the name of a color or show a picture.
- Put your pointer fingers and thumbs into the flaps at the bottom
