St. Patrick’s Day Words That Start With feature image

We’re going on a trip to Ireland with these St. Patrick’s Day words that start with A-Z.  St. Patrick was the missionary who first brought Christianity to Ireland around 432 AD.  Religion is now a big part of the Irish culture. St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, originally was to celebrate Christianity but has now become a celebration of all things Irish. In Ireland, they celebrate with traditional music, dancing, and parades.

The Irish are famous for their storytelling. They use myths, fables and unique sayings to talk about their rich culture. Songs are sung acapella or with the accompaniment of fiddles, bagpipes, pennywhistles and horns. As with any culture, there are words that are unique to their place of origin. Lace up your shoes and let luck guide you as we take a journey to the great land of Ireland through all the words that start with A-Z. Maybe you’ll find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

May your troubles be less and your blessings be more! A little bit of Ireland, starting with A
