What is the Vegas Nerve?
The Vegas Nerve sends signals between the brain, heart and the digestive system. These nerves are the main nerves of the parasympathetic nerve system. They control your digestion, heart rate and your immune system.
Where are the Vastus muscles?
There are three different Vastus Muscles. The Vastus Intermedius, lateralis, and medialis, they are found on the sides and the back of the thigh.
What are veins?
Veins are blood vessels that carry deoxygenated blood to the heart where it will be reoxygenated by the heart and the lungs before arteries carry it back out of the heart.
Where can you find Vellus Hair?
Vellus Hairs are the short, think, light colored hair that develops all over your body during childhood. Some people call Vellus Hair Peach fuzz because its short and soft. This hair gives you the ability to insulate or cool your skin.
What does the Vena Cava do?
The Vena Cava are the two large veins that carry deoxygenated blood to the right atrium of the heart. They are called the superior and the inferior Vena Cava.
What is the Ventral Horn?
Also known as the Anterior horn of the Spinal Cord, the Ventral horn contains cell bodies that tells your skeletal muscles to make movements.
What do Ventricles do?
Ventricles in the heart pump blood from the heart to either the systemic or pulmonary circulation. Ventricles in the brain are structures that make central spinal fluid and transport it around the brain.
What are Venules?
Venules are very little veins. They are the smallest veins that receive blood from capillaries.
Where is the Vermiform Appendix?
The Vermiform appendix is a cylinder-shaped structure found on the large intestine. This appendix is used as a reserve for beneficial gut bacteria.

The vertebrae are the small individual bones that make up the backbone. Each vertebrae has a hole in it where the Spinal cord goes through. The human spine is made up of 33 vertebrae.
What is the Vestibular for?
The vestibular system is essential for your balance. The system is found in the inner ear and made up of three semicircular canals that detect the position and movement of your head.
Where can you find villi?
Villi or villus are threadlike hairs found on the inner walls of the small intestine. They are supplied with blood vessels and help absorb nutrients by increasing the surface area in the intestine.
What are the Vestibular folds?
The vestibular folds are also known as the false vocal cords. They are found just below the epiglottis. While these folds do not aid in your ability to make sound they do maintain the functions of breathing and keeping food and drink from entering the airways when you swallow.
How do Vocal Cords create sound?
Vocal cords are the folds of throat tissue that create sound when you speak. The size of your vocal cords determines the pitch and sound of your voice. The air from your lungs makes the vocal cords vibrate which produces sound.
Where will you find the vitreous body?
The vitreous body is the liquid that fills the space between the lens and retina in the eyeball. It is a transparent, colorless liquid that is surrounded by collagen.
Where are the Volar Interosseous muscles?
The volar interosseous muscles are three muscles in the palm of your hands. They are situated in between the metacarpal bones.
What are Ventricles?
Ventricles are the hollow cavities inside of an organ, like the heart. The heart has a right and a left ventricle.
