How to Play Baby Shower Charades

Baby shower charades are really easy to play.

  • First, you will want to divide into at least 2 teams. Once the teams have been chosen, you will choose a team to go first. If you are playing this at a baby shower, allow the team and the mom to be is on go first.
  • You will then choose your first actor on that team. She or he will go and pick the top card of the baby shower charade cards. Once they have looked at the card, the timer will start.
  • They will have one minute to try and get their team to guess the clue on the card without moving their lips, making sounds, or talking. They can hold up the number of fingers as to how many words are on their phrase on the card.
  • If your team gets it right within the time, they will get a point. If you don’t get it right, then the other team gets one guess to see if they can get it right. If they do, they get the point. If no one answers it correctly, no points are awarded.
  • The game ends when a team reaches a predetermined amount of points.

Tips and Tricks For Playing Charades

  • It is super helpful when the actor let’s their team know how many words are in the clue by holding up that many fingers.
  • Your team has one skip card for the entire game.
  • Have fun when you are the actor, don’t be afraid to laugh and giggle and make a fool of yourself. Your team will appreciate it.
  • Remember when your team is not guessing to sit quietly, it is so easy to blurt out the answer and when you do, the other team can get a point if it is the right answer.
  • After the timer is up the other team gets one guess, the first guess said, so be sure to talk it over with your team prior to blurting out the answer.
